Museum Sabah

HISTORY
The Sabah museum located in a shophouse at Gaya Street,Kota Kinabalu,opened in July 15,1965. The curator of the Sabah Museum was M.G Joe Berwick. The Sabah Museum grew and expanded rapidly while still located at Gaya Street . In 1981 museum came under the ministry of Community services,and later in 1982 under the ministry of culture,youth and sports. The opening Sabah Museum was officiated by His Majesty the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong on April 11,1984.


FACILITIES AND SERVICES
It is located along Jalan Muzium, on a hill at the corner of Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman and Jalan Penampang in Kota Kinabalu. 4 km or about 15 minutes from the KK city Centre. How to getting there is use bus,take no 13 (toward Penampang) from either bus stations in front of City Hall or Wawasan Plaza in KK. Bus fare is Rm1.00. By taxi,the fare is approximately Rm12 to 15.00 for up to 4 persons.

Opening hours: Daily from 9.00am-5.00pm

Admission fees: My kad -Rm2
